We visited some of the most important fashion fairs in the world to gather up all key trends of this upcoming season. this is what we found.
For Fall-Winter 12/13, denim mills are all on board towards sustainability. While organic cotton is still a focus, recycled denim makes an impact while virtually everyone aims to reduce water and chemical usage.
As we saw last season, indigo continues forward as the most important wash, this time with an emphasis on ultra dark hues which are sometimes accompanied by lively contrasts. The other huge trend which we've only begun to witness at retail, is bold and bright color, which in many ways mimics what's happening in fashion.
Purple casts and winter whites are also introduced. Most mils continue forward with grey to black ranges, dirty wahes and finishes appear. Top treatments include coating for a leathery or waxed effect, various dye effects - which are often paired to denim and perma wrinkles. Stretch turns to comfort while a super soft hand is still very important. Shirting offering increase everywhere in both denim and non-denim assortments.
